Hamdan completed his 5-year degree of Bachelor of Architecture at University of Houston, Texas in 1991. At the same time, he also pursued and completed his minor in CADD at College of Technology, University of Houston.
He started pursuing his professional career in 1992 at W&W Architect in Kuala Terengganu, as assistant architect and work closely with the Principal of the firm. He then joined Mokhtar Rahman Partners in 1993, for 2 years before joining S.A.O Architect in 1995. During these periods, he assisted the firms in various fields including supervision of design and production, liaison with clients and other consultants and dealing with local authorities and government agencies.
In year 2001, he joined Kumpulan Perunding Sdn Bhd where he continued enhancing and gaining experience in his effort to be more versatile in every aspects of professional practice. He joined Zainal Architect in year 2002, as senior architect and was capable to work independently ranging from project design stage to contract implementation.Under ZAPGroup Architects Sdn Bhd, he is now in-charge of project management and implementation.
